Overview:

I invite you to join my upcoming workshop at Spannocchia, an 1,100 acre working organic farm located in the heart of Tuscany. It was once a writers’ and artists’ retreat and is the perfect place for painting immersion. We will be spending our days plein-air painting at locations around this picturesque estate whose origin dates back to the 12th century. Each day we will enjoy delicious, home-style Italian meals. Workshop Information

I have found watercolor to be both a sketching and painting medium and because of this, basic drawing skills are requirement for this class, though it is open to all watercolor skill levels. Daily plein-air sessions will take place around Spannocchia and in the Museo studio. There will be daily demonstrations focusing on both how to see and compose landscapes and employ concepts of color, form, value, and other techniques that are useful to successful landscape painting. Individual and group feedback will be offered. There will be a one-day painting field trip at location near Siena.

Workshop Fees and Details:

  • $2600 - Double Occupancy

    $2850 - Single Occupancy

    $2000 - Non-Painting Partner (based on double occupancy)

  • Deposit: $500 to hold your place.

  • Full Payment by July 3, 2024

Workshop fee Includes:

  • All instruction provided by Linda Warner Constantino

  • 7 Nights Accommodations

  • Double or Single Occupancy

  • Three meals per day

  • Spannocchia-style breakfasts

  • Small group – 10 maximum participants

  • One-day field trip to nearby town

  • Group transportation from Florence Airport to Spannocchia

    Workshop does not include:

    • Airfare or baggage fees

    • Travel Insurance (recommended)

    • Flight delay expense

    • Field trips other than what’s listed in the itinerary

    • Items of a personal nature

    • Laundry service, but there are facilities to do your own.

    • Cabs or Transportation that are not part of the itinerary

      Cancellations: In the event of withdrawal from the workshop after August 15, 2023 money will be refunded to the participant ONLY if his or her place in the workshop can be filled. Every effort will be made to fill the vacancy. This refund will be less a $100 administrative fee.
